Funding and Crowdfunding

The crowdfunding component (Ignition Deck) of the S2S website is provided for users as a resource for helping to generate funds for a school’s place-based education and/or service-learning project. Providing access to this funding component is in no way an assertion of or agreement to providing funds for a student/teacher/school/district’s project. It is simply being provided as a means for connecting schools to a funding platform that can be utilized within the school and community. Use of the crowdfunding site/platform does not provide any guarantee of funding for your project. Lack of funds secured for a project through the site/platform is the sole responsibility of the project and its participants. GVSU, the COE, the CEP, nor S2S make any statements of providing funds for any portion of any project and cannot be held responsible for securing a lack of project funding. Use of the site/platform does not guarantee or make any assumption of funds being made available to participants and projects.

Student2Steward (S2S) (including GVSU, the College of Education, and the Center for Educational Partnerships) is not liable for any damages or losses related to your use of the website or funding platform. We don’t become involved in disputes between users, or between users and any third party relating to the use of the website or funding platform. We don’t oversee the performance or punctuality of projects, and we don’t endorse any content users submit to their crowdfunding page/site. When you use the website or funding platform, you release S2S (and the aforementioned entities) from claims, damages, and demands of every kind — known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed — arising out of or in any way related to such disputes and the website or funding platform.
