CA Frost Water Night

CA Frost Water Night

Project Title: "Water on the move! We care for our watershed!"

Problems to be solved: Join "Adopt a Catch Basin" program to protect what enters the Brandywine Creek. Educate the neighborhood on our watershed and how to protect it.   Identify invasive plants and remove them. Reduce runoff from the neighborhood properties into the Brandywine Creek by using Low Impact Development (LID) measures such as putting in a riparian buffer, removing yard waste piles from the edge of the creek, putting in rain gardens and rain barrels.

Questions to be answered for this project:

  • What is a watershed?
  • What major waterways are part of the watershed we live in?
  • How do we impact our watershed?
  • What can be done to protect our watershed?
